A successful year of fundraising events to support Equal People Performing Arts (EPPA) – The Mushroom Theatre Company
Why EPPA?
At Swiftclean, we believe in giving back to the community, and each year, our team is invited to nominate a charity close to their hearts. If the charity happens to be near one of our offices, even better! After nominations are gathered, we hold a vote, and the charity with the most support becomes our Charity of the Year.
For 2024, we are proud to have supported Equal People Performing Arts (EPPA) – The Mushroom Theatre Company. This inclusive performing arts charity was nominated by our HR Business Partner, Victoria, who has a personal connection to the organization through her two daughters, who take part in dance lessons there.
How we got started
To kick off our partnership, we filmed an interview with Penni Bubb, the founder of EPPA, to learn more about the charity’s history and future aspirations. We shared this interview across our social media platforms to raise awareness.
Throughout the year, we supported EPPA in a variety of ways, including advertising in their show guides and participating in several of their events. Our Social Committee team worked hard to organize regular fundraising activities, often on a monthly basis. These events included:
- Swear jars
- Themed coffee and cake mornings
- Competitions and games for occasions like Pancake Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas
- A raffle at our annual BBQ and Awards Celebration, which was a huge success
- A pop-up clothes shop in October
- A bingo night in November
- A Christmas Craft Fair in December, featuring stalls with homemade gifts, including personalized items created by our talented team
The Social Committee had a great time organizing these events, and the raffle at the BBQ turned out to be our most successful fundraiser of the year.
The social committee thoroughly enjoyed organizing various fundraising events for the team to get involved with. The raffle at the company-wide BBQ turned out to be the most successful fundraiser of the year.
In addition to fundraising, we’ve enjoyed supporting EPPA in other ways, such as baking cakes for their bake sale and sharing their social stories to help boost their visibility. We hope our efforts have helped introduce EPPA to new followers and supporters.
Penni Bubb, EPPA founder extended her thanks “Equal People Performing Arts would like to say a huge thank you to the staff of Swiftclean for all their fundraising efforts this year. We have been so proud to be your charity for 2024 and it’s impossible to put into words what a difference it makes to such a small charity as ours. Wishing you and your families a very Happy New year and good luck for the next year with your new charity choice”.
Looking Ahead
As 2024 comes to a close, we want to extend our best wishes to EPPA and its incredible team. We are proud of the small part we’ve played in helping them achieve their goals, and we wish them every success in the future.
