Are your post-clean verification reports compliant with the TR19® Grease Specification?
Our post-clean reports are something we are very proud of, read on to find out why.
• We aim to send all our compliance reports out within 5 working days of a clean being complete – our current turnaround time is an average of just 4 working days – the quickest in the industry!
• They contain clear, concise and transparent information enabling our clients to fully understand their system’s cleanliness and compliance post clean.
• Our post-clean verification reports are to the TR19® Grease specification; this means they all include:
An executive summary page that highlights the following key risks:
- A clear statement (yes or no) indicating whether or not the system was cleaned in its entirety. (If ‘no’ is answered to the above question, we state precisely what wasn’t cleaned and why).
- A recommendation of a new cleaning frequency based on the pre-clean Grease Thickness Test readings.
- Micron readings for the stipulated test locations. The mean (average) micron reading across all micron readings taken.
- Other hazards that have been identified.
- Pre agreement with a client of a specific section or area that is not to be cleaned.
- A sufficient number of photographs of the system taken before and after cleaning that are representative of the system condition. These should be as per system testing and more if the duct length exceeds 10m.
- A schematic diagram or, as-installed drawing of the system layout showing the system in its entirety including known components, changes of direction, access.
• All our kitchen extract post-clean verification reports are registered with The Vent Hygiene Register – and we were one of the founding companies that joined this scheme (more on the scheme below).
The Vent Hygiene Register
Being a member of the VHR means you are part of a trusted community of approved contractors making it easier for clients to find a trustworthy contractor.
The Vent Hygiene Register and TR19® Grease are recognised by London Fire Brigade, British Standards and many insurers including the RISCAuthority.
The BESA VHR scheme has established a robust process to verify the quality of cleaning – particularly of grease extract systems used by commercial kitchens. It was introduced in response to growing awareness among building owners, operators and insurers of the fire risks posed by poorly cleaned and maintained systems.
On top of being registered with the VHR, Swiftclean has many other certifications, (meaning you know you have a trained and competent team completing your compliance service), including:
• We are accredited through SafeContractor which assures our customers that we meet all of the standards and regulations they require.
• We have our Constructionline Gold accreditation which enhances our visibility, reliability, and credibility in the industry.
• We are CHAS certified which helps us to expand our business horizons.
• We have ISO 9001 (quality), ISO14001 (environmental) and ISO45001 (health & safety)
• We have achieved our Achilles certification
All approved VHR contractors can be found on the BESA ‘Find a VHR Contractor’ search tool.
