Meet the Ventilation Sales Team

The Ventilation Services Sales Team consists of Matt Saunders – the Sales Director, Stuart Pratt (South), Phil Hares (South), Luke Farrant (South), Matt Gardner (North), Stuart Day (North), and Lee Smith (West).

We understand that getting to know them beyond their work is important, so we thought we’d give you a little insight into what they enjoy doing in their free time.

The team promotes our services to schools, care homes, manufacturing plants, sports stadiums, hospitals, and restaurants, amongst other business sectors – our services can be utilised in most buildings.

Their specialist knowledge covers ventilation surveys and cleaning, kitchen extract fire safety cleaning, local exhaust ventilation cleaning, laundry extract cleaning, and fire damper testing.

Furthermore, in 2025, they are also able to help their existing accounts with water hygiene services.

Each team member covers a region of the UK close to where they live. This helps to minimise travel time to sites but working remotely also brings challenges, especially for new employees.

We were interested to find out how the newly promoted Sales Director, Matt Saunders, keeps the team motivated and how he manages communications with each salesperson.

Matt told us, “I like to have a video call with my whole team ideally every two weeks and then we all meet for a face-to-face meeting each quarter. Because of the different locations of each person, these meetings tend to be held either at our Head Office in Southend or in the Midlands”.

“For the newer team members, I will often attend sites with them, and, on occasion, I will visit complex sites with a more experienced team member. This is because it’s sometimes better to have two sets of eyes on a more complicated system. I usually speak to new starters on the phone or over Teams daily. I’ll catch up with other team members at least once a week. Each salesperson brings transferable skills from their previous job roles, whether that is specific to our industry or general sales experience”.

“Remote working can be isolating for salespeople and that’s why it’s important to foster a good team spirit. Then team members will also go to each other for support and advice – and often for some banter about the results of the latest football match!”.

The Ventilation Services Sales Team, led by Matt, effectively manages the challenges of remote work while maintaining strong teamwork and communication. Regular video calls, in-person meetings, and on-site visits help keep the team supported and motivated across various sectors. Whether tackling complex systems or chatting about football, they demonstrate that a connected team can overcome any challenge.
