Partnering for Better Water Hygiene: Swiftclean and Caledonia Housing Association

At Swiftclean, we are proud of our more than 12-year partnership with Caledonia Housing Association, where we collaborate to enhance water hygiene and ensure the safety of the residents in Caledonia HA’s properties. This alliance reflects our shared commitment to creating clean and safe living environments.

As a member of the Legionella Control Association for over 20 years, we adhere to the latest regulations and industry standards, including compliance with L8, the industry-approved Code of Practice.

Caledonia Housing Association, one of Scotland’s largest providers, manages over 5,500 high-quality social rented homes. Their services cover eight local authorities and focus on offering energy-efficient housing that is both affordable and valued by tenants.

Since our initial meeting in 2012, our teams have collaborated closely, with regular meetings ensuring smooth contract operations. Swiftclean provides essential services to Caledonia Housing properties, such as cold-water tank cleaning, Legionella risk assessments, and water sampling. In 2020, we secured a 10-year contract for Legionella monitoring, overseeing the water systems in their offices and sheltered accommodations.

Despite facing challenges from diverse housing types and rural locations, our team embraces the journey, enjoying Scotland’s stunning views along the way. As surveyor Matt McCormack notes, “I truly feel like I am part of the Caledonia Housing Association team.”
