Say hello to our Scottish compliance team
Jamie (Compliance Supervisor – pictured on the right) and Stephen (Compliance Operative – pictured on the left) are the core of our compliance team in Scotland and have been with us since 2023. Living and working in Scotland means that they are well-placed to deal with the air and water hygiene requirements of our Scottish clients.
We thought we’d find out a bit more about them so asked them to answer a few light-hearted questions!
What’s the best thing you did recently?
Jamie – I recently got four numbers on the lottery and won £500!
Stephen – Finally got on with getting my bathroom redecorated, after leaving all of the parts in the hallway for 3 weeks.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Jamie – I have a real love for tattoos and would really like to learn to become a tattoo artist.
Stephen – I’ve always had a love for cars so would love to become a qualified mechanic
What was your first job?
Jamie – After I left school I worked in a Scaffold yard as a general labourer
Stephen – My first proper job was working in a bingo hall as a number caller “Number 8 Garden Gate”
What book or movie have you recently read/seen and why would you recommend it?
Jamie – I recently finish watching Yellowstone on Paramount, a great watch
Stephen – I am currently watching Lockerbie on Sky, something which is relevant in our part of the world. Compelling viewing
What fictional place would you like to visit?
Jamie : Quohog from Family Guy
Stephen : Hogwarts from Harry Potter
What’s something you’re planning on doing in the next year that you’ve never done?
Jamie : Becoming a dad, my partner is currently mid term and we recently found out we are having a boy, I cannot wait
Stephen : Going on holiday abroad for the first time but haven’t decided where yet, just got to get my passport sorted!
What’s something that recently made you smile?
Jamie : Attending a baby scan with my partner just amazing seeing it for the first time
Stephen : Finally getting my operation to get the cataracts in my eyes sorted out which is being done in March
What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?
Jamie – Don’t eat yellow snow!
Stephen : Just say no, in the words of Zammo from Grange Hill!
What’s your dream job?
Jamie : As I said earlier I would love to be a Tattooist
Stephen : Would love to be the Rangers Football Manager, we all say we could do a better job than whatever manager is doing it at the moment
