Meet the Team – Danny – Compliance Operative

Welcome to the next instalment of our Meet the Team series. We’re delighted to introduce Danny, who has joined our Manchester team as a Compliance Operative alongside his brother, Max.

Pictured on the right with his line manager, Richard, Danny recently completed a successful three-day induction at Swiftclean’s Head Office in Southend. Richard commented that Danny had a very positive start, taking part in a range of training courses and onboarding activities designed to help him settle into his new role.

Here are some fun facts about Danny:

What’s the best thing you did recently?

Fixed my car, head gasket needed replacing, never done it before so rather than fork out £200, I had a go myself and watched some YouTube videos to see how to do it – car is still working two months down the line.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I have always wanted to learn some form of martial arts, just for fitness purposes and the art of self-discipline obviously!

What was your first job?

Market stall selling rugs at the age of 15

Do you have any pets? What are they?

I have a Staffie called Coco and it’s obviously white and brown

What book or movie have you recently read/seen and why would you recommend it?

The Gentleman on Netflix, waiting for the second series to land

Do you have any hidden talents or unusual hobbies?

Do a lot of mountain biking

Are you a morning or night owl?

I am a night owl

What person inspires you outside of work?

My grandad, he was a miner when he was younger and then he started work at Lyons Bakery packing bread etc and worked his way up to be a manager in the offices.

What is your 15 minutes of fame?

I once met Michael Barrymore in a supermarket in Newcastle, quite random

What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?

Just keep trying.

What’s your favourite travel destination?

Greece

What has surprised you about the job in the first few days?

How smoothly it’s gone compared to other places I have worked
