Build a Rewarding Career with Swiftclean

Are you looking for a rewarding career with opportunities to progress?

A move to Swiftclean could be the answer. Find out what makes us a great place to work and explore our current opportunities.

We are one of the leading ventilation hygiene experts, advising on industry best-practice, working closely with the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) to ensure buildings are compliant and safe.

Owing to recent successes, we are looking to expand our team across a number of areas of the business, in locations throughout the UK – from Southend to Leeds, Bristol to Coventry. There are opportunities for both experienced engineers, and completely new entrants. Thanks to our in-house Training Academy, we can bring candidates up to speed with the technicalities of a role and also offer continuous professional development throughout their career at Swiftclean.

A place to build a long-term career

We are proud to have a number of longstanding employees within the business. Their experience, knowledge and commitment are an important part of who we are, and their length of service says something powerful: Swiftclean is a place where people can put down roots, grow and develop over time.

Many of our staff have been with us for decades and the company has a family feel. MD, Gary Nicholls’ daughter, Chloe Nicholls is Director of Operations and Training Manager, Richard Crews is Gary’s nephew. There are also a number of siblings from different families that make up the team.

Full training at our on-site Training Academy

While relevant experience is always useful, what sets Swiftclean apart from many organisations is its focus on training. Our on-site Training Academy runs a selection of industry-leading courses – available to Swiftclean staff and external trainees – which combine technical learning with practical application so that employees can develop the knowledge, competence and confidence needed to work safely and to a high standard.

Training is central to Swiftclean’s approach. As an established specialist working in highly regulated areas, we understand that excellent service begins with skilled people. Our Academy provides a strong foundation for a career in compliance-led building services and facilities management. All employees are continuously upskilled in the latest best practice, making Swiftclean technicians amongst the most highly trained in the business

Share in the success you help to create

We believe employees should benefit when the business performs well. That is why most of our employees*, are included in the company profit share scheme from their date of joining.

The profit share is paid in the following year, once the final accounts have been approved. The total figure is based on a percentage of the profit made during the relevant year, so the higher the company’s profit, the higher the amount available to share.

Each eligible employee’s calculation is proportionate to the number of days they physically worked in the business during that year. In practical terms, someone who works for a full year will receive a larger share than someone who joins and works for only a couple of months. This approach recognises each person’s contribution to the company’s results.

Profit share is subject to the scheme rules, eligibility criteria and approval of the final accounts.

Join an essential and growing industry

Every occupied building depends on people who help keep it safe, healthy, efficient and compliant. As organisations place greater emphasis on safety, air quality, water hygiene, fire protection and well-maintained estates, specialist expertise continues to be in demand.

It is also a varied sector with room to progress. A role with Swiftclean can introduce you to specialist technical disciplines, recognised industry standards, different types of sites and customers, and a nationwide operation. The skills you build are practical, transferable and directly connected to protecting people and the places they use.

Be part of a friendly team!

Swiftclean is not just a good place to work from a career progression point of view, it’s also a nice place to work, with a strong emphasis on supporting each other and having fun! We organise team building activities throughout the year, most recently climbing up Snowdon for charity. A big reason why we have so many longstanding members of staff is because of our positive company culture.
