Building Strong Compliance
A free seminar for building managers that will address the issues relating to FM’s legal responsibilities for a building’s air and water hygiene. The seminar is being delivered by compliance specialists, Swiftclean Building Services, on the 1st December at the beautiful Silvermere Inn on the Lake, Silvermere Golf & Leisure, Redhill Road, Cobham, Surrey KT11 1EF.

The seminar will cover issues relating to air and water hygiene regulations and best practice in the management of the fire and other health risks associated with delivering clean air and clean water for building users.
The seminar will be facilitated by Malcolm Johnston, Non-Executive Director of Swiftclean Building Services and the speakers will be:
Founder and Managing Director of Swiftclean (UK) Ltd, 33 year career in ventilation hygiene, co-author of TR/17 and TR/19 published by B&ES – the industry guide to good practice for the internal cleanliness of ventilation systems, former chairman of B&ES (formerly HVCA) Ventilation Hygiene Group. Pioneer of the wet film thickness and deposit thickness tests. An expert witness in examining the level of kitchen grease extract cleaning compliance in post fire scenarios when fires are known to have spread through grease laden extraction systems.
Ventilation / ductwork expert – Martin started as an operative with one of Swiftclean’s site crews in the 1990’S and worked his way up to supervisor. He led teams on a variety of large projects and was one of the first in the industry to pass a Pilot NVQ in ductwork cleaning. He has cleaned hundreds of miles of ducting in sites from the Shetland islands to Jersey. Martin decided to join the sales team in 2000 and worked his way through various sales positions before becoming Sales & Marketing Director.
Midlands & North Regional Manager for Swiftclean, Guy has 10 years’ experience account managing multi-site contracts, within various business sectors stretching across industrial, public, health and social housing.
