Hosting the new BESA Grease Hygiene Operative Course – GHO3

May 2023 saw Swiftclean deliver its first new style Grease Hygiene Operative course (GHO3). This is the first step on a newly developed pathway that leads onto the Grease Hygiene Technician course (GHT3). The fundamentals of the course are around working safely in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act, cleaning Kitchen Extract Systems in line with Risk Assessment and Method Statements and understanding the scope and limitations of an Operatives role.

This course has been developed alongside the latest industry specification -TR19® Grease, which was co-written by Swiftclean’s MD, Gary Nicholls. TR19® Grease encourages improved standards of compliance by contractors providing kitchen extract fire safety cleaning.

Swiftclean is one of only three providers in the UK currently certified to deliver this course, at our Southend Head Office and Training Centre. Using our bespoke training room set up which has been extensively developed to replicate a commercial kitchen system, from canopy to exhaust; with new theory set up.

Our qualified trainers, Richard Crews and Abbey Maxwell have extensive backgrounds in education alongside a combined 20 plus years’ experience in the compliance industry.
