Summer Nicholls Equestrian

Swiftclean sponsors a young, local horsewoman aiming for the top. Summer Nicholls has previously competed at the Mitsubishi Motors Cup (previously known as the Mitsubishi Motors ‘Grassroots’ Championships). This prestigious series and Championship offer ‘amateur’ riders the chance to qualify and compete at one of the world’s most famous sporting venues – The Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials.

She currently competes at a national level in Eventing on her horses Alfie XXVI and Hooves the Daddy (Hugo). The three eventing disciplines require combinations to demonstrate versatility and training. Each discipline calls for different qualities and horses and riders need to be equally competent at each.

Summer had a good start to the 2023 season with both Hooves the Daddy and Alfie XXVI. Notably they finished 7th at Blindley Heath and 8th at Poplar Park, both in a field of 40 competitors. They also produced a PB dressage score of 21.5 at Little Downham in June.

Their next aim for the season will be their first international event of the season at Aston-le-walls in Northants.
