Meet the Swiftclean Sales Team

Opening Doors to Better Compliance

With his recent promotion to Director of Sales, Matt Saunders now leads the entire Swiftclean Sales team, bringing together a group of dedicated air and water hygiene specialists who help organisations right across the UK stay safe, compliant, and efficient.

Supporting Matt is a highly experienced team consisting of Stuart Pratt, Luke Farrant, Matt Gardner, Stuart Day, Aaron Whiting, Dan O’Hara, Lee Smith, Brandon Anderton, Sam Thompson and Ben Stephenson. Together, they work with businesses across a wide range of sectors, helping clients navigate often complex compliance requirements with confidence.

Investing in Knowledge, Delivering More Value

At Swiftclean, people are our greatest asset. Through our in-house training academy, we make a significant investment in the development of our employees, ensuring every team member has the skills, knowledge, and support needed to provide the best possible service to our clients.

Historically, the Sales team operated in two specialist groups: one focused on air and fire compliance services, and the other on water hygiene and Legionella control. While this specialist approach served clients well, we recognised an opportunity to deliver even greater value.

By cross-training and upskilling team members in both disciplines, our sales specialists are now better equipped to understand a client’s full compliance requirements. This means clients can often work with a single point of contact for multiple services, simplifying communication and ensuring a more joined-up approach to compliance management.

Building Expertise Through Continuous Training

Developing knowledge across multiple service areas doesn’t happen overnight. That’s why Swiftclean has introduced a structured programme of training and mentoring to support the team.

For example, members of the air and fire compliance team have completed Legionella Awareness Training, gaining valuable insight into water hygiene risks and legislation. This formal training has been supplemented by practical support from experienced colleagues, helping them develop confidence in discussing water hygiene services with clients.

Learning doesn’t stop after the initial training. The team benefits from fortnightly support sessions, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to visit customer sites alongside experienced team members. This collaborative approach allows knowledge and best practices to be shared across the business while helping newer members of the team develop quickly.

Director of Sales, Matt, says: “Great client relationships are built on more than great service – they’re built on the strength and knowledge of the team behind it. By sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and working together with a common purpose, we deliver better solutions, greater consistency, and lasting value for our clients. Our collective expertise is our greatest asset, and it’s what enables us to support our clients with their compliance needs every day.”

A More Connected Team

Like many modern sales teams, Swiftclean’s specialists are based throughout the UK, working closely with clients in their local regions. While remote working offers flexibility and reduces travel time, it can sometimes create challenges when it comes to collaboration and knowledge sharing.

To maintain strong connections across the team, a regular Friday morning virtual coffee session was set up. Hosted via Microsoft Teams, the informal gathering gives colleagues the opportunity to catch up, share experiences, discuss challenges, and exchange ideas.

The initiative has helped create a more connected and collaborative culture. By effectively working within the same virtual space, team members can quickly tap into each other’s expertise, ensuring clients benefit from the collective knowledge of the entire team.
